Who we are
Rooted is a Bible accountability app operated by Ayodeji Akiwowo, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at any time by emailing notifications@getrootedapp.uk.
What data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service. This includes your full name and email address when you sign up, your daily Bible reading check-ins (date only, no content), your accountability partnership connections, and any encouragements you send to partners. We do not collect your location, payment information, or any sensitive personal data.
How we use your data
We use your data solely to provide the Rooted service. This means sending you daily reading reminders, weekly progress reports, and partner notifications. We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.
Third parties
We use Supabase to store your data securely. We use Resend to send email notifications. We use Vercel to host the application and collect anonymous analytics (page views, no personal data). All third parties are GDPR compliant.
Your rights under GDPR
As a UK resident you have the right to access the data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data at any time, object to how we process your data, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at notifications@getrootedapp.uk and we will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate data (such as total check-in counts) may be retained for analysis.
Cookies
Rooted uses minimal cookies necessary for authentication and anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. By using Rooted you consent to this minimal use of cookies.
Children
Rooted is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of Rooted after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
