Acceptance of terms
By creating an account and using Rooted, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Rooted. We may update these terms from time to time and will notify you of significant changes by email.
What Rooted is
Rooted is a Bible reading accountability app that helps people open their Bibles more consistently. We provide daily reading plans, accountability partner connections, streak tracking, and email notifications. Rooted is a tool to support your faith practice — it is not a church, a spiritual authority, or a counselling service.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must provide accurate information when signing up. You must be at least 13 years old to use Rooted. You may not use Rooted for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm other users.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Rooted to harass, abuse, or harm other users. You agree not to attempt to access other users' data. You agree not to use Rooted to send spam or unsolicited messages. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Accountability partnerships
Rooted connects you with accountability partners of your choosing. We are not responsible for the conduct of other users. Partnership connections are voluntary and can be ended at any time. We do not mediate disputes between users.
Email notifications
By creating an account you consent to receiving email notifications from Rooted including daily reading reminders, partner check-in notifications, encouragements, and weekly reports. You can contact us to adjust your notification preferences.
Bible content
Rooted displays Bible passages from the King James Version (KJV), which is in the public domain. We do not claim ownership of any scripture content. Scripture is provided for personal devotional use only.
Availability
We aim to keep Rooted available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We are not liable for any loss caused by service interruptions.
Intellectual property
The Rooted name, logo, design, and code are owned by Ayodeji Akiwowo. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of Rooted without permission. User-generated content (such as reflection notes, if added) remains yours.
Limitation of liability
Rooted is provided as-is. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Rooted. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
